What a great day!

Not only was today a beautiful day weather wise - it was a WONDERFUL day spent with friends, in NYC!

We had tickets to see the new Nate Berkus Show and left NJ at 6:30am - YES - everyone was ready and on time! WOo HOo!!  We got into the city by @ 7:20am and waited on line until they let us into the "holding area" at @ 8:30am.

We met Bruce Harris - who will be producing a new play at the Lyceum Theater that is opening on Oct 7th,
and Dena Blizzard who warmed up the audience was so funny!  http://www.onefunnymother.com/blog/

I'll post more about our day another time - as I am dragging now from getting up at 4:45am! and need to go to bed - but before I do - I wanted to post this GREAT picture of my FABULOUS friends and I.  It was taken at Portraitbug in NYC - YES - it is a scrapbook store - and NO we couldn't resist!

Stephanie, Me, Marianne, Norma~aka. Mama Doodle!

I'm full of GLIMMER, GLAZE and GLAM!

Well - Tattered Angels has opened up their Design Team Search, and I have to create 5 NEW, never before posted on the internet projects, using 80% of Tattered Angels products.  I am so excited and having LOTS of SHINY FUN creating!!

I just finished my 2nd project - an old printers tray, and will move on to # 3 tomorrow night.  That will leave 2 more, PLUS I have to make a Baby Shower mini book as a gift - ALL by Sept 30th!!

Where is that scrap clone when you need her????  LOL!!

ANYWAY - for those of you that know me - you know I LOVE to share - and I can't hold myself back on this one!!  All you are going to get is a sneak peek of some of the cool elements on the tray.

Here is a picture of some old lace that I bought at a flea market in Ocean Grove earlier this year - I used bits and pieces of it in the printer tray project - and that lace and a few buttons were just about the only things that didn't get hit with some GLIMMER!

The butterfly turned out soo cool ( I think anyway!) It was silver and white when I got it ( THANKS STEPHANIE!) and all it needed was a little GLIMMER GLAZE and a dab of GLIMMER GLAM - and look how beautiful it turned out!!

So - what do you think?  I am thinking this little butterfly's friends will re-appear at the Scrap-a-Doodle Doo weekend Crop on Oct 1st, so that I can teach others how they can make them too!!

Time for bed now - I've got lots of scrapping to get through this month - so I don't know when I will be posting again - but please leave a message and some words of encouragement so I can get the projects done and submitted on time - as I would LOVE to be on the Design Team for Tattered Angels!!

Yours with Glitz, Glam and Glimmer,

Sherri

Funky Monkey Pancakes!

These have passed the taste test
of two 16yr old teenage boys!

My son Jake had a friend "sleep" over last night.
It was their last "HURRAH!" before school starts next week. A Video Game Marathon Night!
Phil went into work this morning and they were still awake!
He left the house at 4:30am - OT day baby!
He let me sleep in -and I didn't get up until 8am!! - That felt good!
(Poor Phil though - he is such a GOOD hubby!)

So - I decided to make the "boys" a nice breakfast while they slept - which has now become their BRUNCH - as they just woke up at 11AM!!

These turned out GREAT - so I thought I'd share the recipe with you!

1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 Egg
3 RIPE Bananas
* Smoosh these all together with a wire whisk

Please Note: This is a DIFFERENT kind of "Smooshing" than what happens on the TV show:
"The Jersey Shore" - This takes place in a bowl - with a fork or wire whisk -
and it is NOT what went on with Snookie and Vinny ~
if you are a fan or watch the show - you know what I mean *wink wink!

After smooshing ADD:
3 Cups Bisquick ( I used Heartsmart)
1 Cup Milk  ( I used SOY Milk*)
*I had an open carton from when my vegan son was home from college last weekend - HI NICK!)
1 CUP Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Mix all together and drop by a 2/3 cup measure onto a hot griddle or frying pan sprayed with Pam.
Makes 18 nice size Pancakes

ENJOY!
